TERMS &
CONDITIONS.
These terms apply to anyone using stickymetalart.co.uk, purchasing a ready-made piece, or commissioning custom work from Sticky Metal Art, a sole trader business operated by Darren Jones based in Reading, Berkshire.
About us
Sticky Metal Art creates handmade sculptures and decorative pieces from reclaimed and scrap metal, including ready-made pieces sold through our online shop and bespoke commissions built to order.
Ordering ready-made pieces
-
All items shown in our shop are subject to availability. As each piece is handmade and often one-of-a-kind, once a piece is sold it may not be exactly reproducible.
-
Prices are shown in GBP and include/exclude VAT as applicable
-
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed.
Commissions
-
Commission enquiries begin as a conversation — final price, timeline, and deposit requirements are agreed individually and confirmed in writing (email or messaging) before work begins.
-
A deposit may be requested to secure a commission slot; this will be discussed and agreed on a case-by-case basis.
-
Because commissions are built to your specification, please refer to our Refund Policy regarding cancellation rights for custom work.
-
Reasonable variation in appearance is normal and expected with handmade, reclaimed-material work, no two pieces are identical, and the exact materials used may vary from any reference photos shown.
Intellectual property
-
Photos, descriptions, and designs on this Site belong to Sticky Metal Art and may not be reproduced without permission.
-
For commissioned pieces based on a customer's own design or reference, the customer confirms they have the right to share that reference and request its recreation.
Liability
-
Sculptures made from reclaimed and scrap metal may have sharp edges, rust patina, or weight considerations appropriate to their materials. Care instructions will be provided where relevant.
-
We are not liable for damage caused by improper installation, use outdoors without appropriate treatment (where not agreed), or misuse.
-
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
